Sickness and Medication

Attendance is really important to us and to your child's wellbeing and education.  If your child is too ill to be in school, please phone school first thing in the morning to let us know.  We will discuss the situation with you and offer help / support if needed.  If your child is a little unwell but perhaps needs medication to address an illness, school would recommend your child comes to school (unless their illness is contagious) and that medicine is sent to help with their condition.  Please read our 'Administration of Medication' policy carefully.  You will be asked to complete an 'Administration of Medication' form for each medicine your child requires.  The form is available to download from this page or from the main school office.

If you are concerned about your child's health, please speak to Mrs Naheed Siddique, Medical Needs Coordinator and she will support and signpost you to agencies who can support.

The NHS111 website is a source of useful information about health needs and services available to you.

We work closely with our Health Service Partners including the School Nursing Team.
